Michael's Photo Gallery
(Latest Updates)
Welcome to my photo gallery. I am an amateur photographer starting from my early years with a Ricoh KR-10 Super and a Tamron 70-200 zoom lens on film. Films are so expensive compared to digital, especially slide film like Fuji Velvia. Ouch! Three years ago I bought my first digital camera – Canon A80 and took lots great photos with it. It is a P&S camera with many options to choose. I was so impressed with the picture quality, manual control and the continuous shooting capability. You don’t need an expensive and super high resolution camera to produce great pictures. You can take camera as a car and you are the driver. You won’t drive faster than Michael Schumacher even if you are on the same Ferrari. Developing your sense and techniques are more important than the camera itself.
Today, I use a Canon 350D with its kit lens EF-S 18-55mm, Canon 50mm F1.8 and an old Sigma 70-300mm F4/5.6 APO. I have been thinking about replacing my Sigma with a Canon 70-200mm L F4, but let me save some money first. At present, I am still relatively happy with the Sigma although it is not as sharp and fast as the Canon.
Please feel free to give me your valuable comments as I am still learning every day from people like you. You can use the Contact link to email me.
Taking photos is one of the greatest pleasures in my life! The more you take, the more you learn and enjoy. The photo world is just fascinating.......
